Vietnamese Celebrities Embrace Vegetarianism for Peace and Tranquility
MC Dai Nghia, Ngo Thanh Van, Ho Quynh Huong, Viet Trinh, and Angela Phuong Trinh, along with runner-up Truong Thi May, are among the Vietnamese stars who have chosen a vegetarian lifestyle in search of peace and tranquility in life.
MC Dai Nghia
MC Dai Nghia is a familiar name to Vietnamese audiences as an actor, comedian, and renowned host. He has led a serene and gentle personal life. For many years, he has followed a vegetarian diet and lives a calm life.
Dai Nghia shared that vegetarianism came to him naturally; initially, he planned to practice it only during the full moon each month, but later adopted it as a lifelong diet.
Besides, Dai Nghia is quite skilled in the kitchen. He regularly updates his fans with unique vegetarian dishes that he cooks himself. He even grows his organic vegetable garden on his mansion’s terrace to ensure fresh produce for his daily meals.
He also sets up charity funds and makes trips to assist people in need. For Dai Nghia, vegetarianism is not just about health and detoxification but also brings joy and peace to his life.
Truong Thi May
Runner-up Truong Thi May, known as “Asia’s Most Attractive Vegetarian Woman of 2014” by PETA, has been a long-term vegetarian and leads a peaceful, non-competitive lifestyle. She opts for vegetarianism for simplicity in meal preparation.
Her plant-based lifestyle brings her tranquility and comfort in her soul.
Ngo Thanh Van
Ngo Thanh Van, famous as an actress, singer, and entertainment company director, is also known as the “action woman”. She is the ambassador for the “Vietnam’s Heartbeat” and “Scars of Life” funds.
For many years, she has followed a strict vegetarian diet and advocates for helping those in need. Ngo Thanh Van has built a Zen-style mansion in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City.
She explains that there are many reasons for people to choose vegetarianism, such as improving personal health and minimizing negative environmental impacts.
For her, vegetarianism not only maintains inner tranquility but also brings peace.
Ho Quynh Huong
Ho Quynh Huong, a famous singer with numerous hits, has also been recognized as “Asia’s Most Attractive Vegetarian Woman” by PETA.
She has been a long-term vegetarian for about a decade. This diet helped her let go of her previously quick-tempered nature. It has also “recreated” a new life for her, one that is peaceful and unconcerned with materialistic luxury.
Viet Trinh
Viet Trinh, known for her role in “The Beauty of Tay Do”, has been associated with this title even today. After several life changes, she embraced a vegetarian lifestyle. Instead of seeking showbiz glamour, she now spends more time with her son.
Angela Phuong Trinh
Angela Phuong Trinh’s life has undergone significant changes since she stepped back from showbiz activities.
She enjoys a simple life away from the hustle and bustle and actively participates in charitable activities.
Phuong Trinh asserts that her transformation is due to her choice of a peaceful life and vegetarian diet, leading her to appreciate life’s precious moments. Hence, in recent years, the public perceives her as a down-to-earth and approachable artist.
