Van Lien Temple (Q.8): Extending Aid to the Struggling Cham Community
GNO – On the afternoon of July 19th, Venerable Thich Le Quang, the abbot of Van Lien Pagoda (District 8, Ho Chi Minh City), organized the distribution of 100 gifts to the Cham ethnic community in Ward 4 (District 8, Ho Chi Minh City).
The gift-giving event was attended by Mr. Nguyen Quoc Minh, Chairman of the Red Cross Society of District 8, Mr. Pham Thai Son, Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Ward 4, District 8, and representatives of the Ward 4 People’s Committee.
During the gift presentation, Venerable Thich Le Quang expressed his condolences to the Cham community and distributed 100 relief packages to families in Ward 4 who are facing difficulties. Each gift package included: 10 kg of rice, new clothing, T-shirts, and other essential necessities.
