Củ Chi’s Vibrant Mid-Autumn Lantern Parade at Giac Ngộ Temple
“Come on, my dear, let’s go out with lanterns,
Star lanterns, fish lanterns, and traditional lanterns…”
The Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as Tet Trung Thu, is one of the most important holidays for Vietnamese children. To create a joyful atmosphere and celebrate the occasion, on the evening of September 23rd (the 8th day of the 9th lunar month in the Year of the Tiger), the monastic community of Giac Ngo Pagoda (Cu Chi District, Ho Chi Minh City) organized a Mid-Autumn Lantern Parade.
At this event, the children experienced the exciting and warm atmosphere of a special festival night! They participated in lively cultural activities, enjoyed delicious Mid-Autumn treats, and played with the adorable Cuoi and Hang. The sound of their laughter echoed throughout the temple grounds, making the festival even more joyful. It was truly an opportunity for the children to immerse themselves in an atmosphere full of happiness and excitement.
<Sach Tot Dep is honored to have accompanied the monastic community of Giac Ngo Pagoda in presenting more than 150 wonderful gifts to the children and students attending the program. From sparkling lanterns to delicious Mid-Autumn cakes and the interactive storybook ‘Rước Đèn Trung Thu’ with charming, vivid characters and engaging and fun content…, the children received these meaningful and unforgettable gifts.
It can be said that the Mid-Autumn Lantern Parade at Giac Ngo Pagoda is a meaningful event, contributing to bringing joy, warmth, and love to the children during the Mid-Autumn Festival. Sometimes, the most wonderful moments are when we can share happiness and love with those around us.
