Youth Empowerment: Bringing ‘Green Light’ to A Luoi Highlands

After 4 days of implementation, young people at Hue University have handed over the youth project to light up the roads in the highland district of A Luoi (Thua Thien – Hue).

On July 30th, in Huong Nguyen commune (A Luoi district, Thua Thien – Hue), the Youth Union of Hue University handed over a youth project with the theme “”Bringing green light to the countryside.””

With the collaboration of Signify Vietnam Company, after 4 days of implementation, young students from the Faculty of Engineering and Technology (Hue University) completed a 1,730m-long road lighting project using solar energy. At the same time, they improved the electrical system in 4 community activity houses in 4 hamlets and installed new lighting systems at the kindergarten in Huong Nguyen commune.

On this occasion, the organizing committee also donated more than 250 gifts to families with social policies, families in difficult circumstances, and preschool children in the commune.

Present at the handover of the youth project, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hoai, Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union of Thua Thien – Hue, considered this as a model for the next Green Summer Volunteer Campaigns. Mr. Hoai hopes that the Youth Union of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology (Hue University) will continue to promote the spirit of enthusiasm and contribute to more meaningful programs and activities for the local community.

Accompanying the Green Summer Volunteer Campaign from the early days, representatives from Signify Vietnam Company expressed their admiration for the enthusiasm and dedication of the members of the Hue University Faculty of Engineering and Technology. In the future, Signify Vietnam Company will continue to accompany young people in lighting up many rural areas in Thua Thien – Hue.
